Dantalian

Dantalian is a Python 3 library for file organization and tagging using hard links.

In technical jargon, Dantalian can be described as a multi-dimensionally hierarchical transparent lightweight file organization system.

Features

Organizes using the plain file system.
Extremely flexible (no tag limit, no tag naming restrictions, hierarchical tags, no file naming restrictions, can tag all files and directories).
Transparent to other applications, since it works directly with the file system.

17 Mar 2015 v1.0 release (v0.6.1 release)
Dantalian v1.0 is now released. The old version of Dantalian is now on the v0.6 branch, with an accompanying v0.6.1 fast-forward update release.
13 Feb 2015 v1.0 migration
v1.0 completely changes how directories are linked/tagged, requiring a migration from previous versions.
